Subaru Impreza

Judging from Subaru’s lone teaser shot, the 2012 Impreza’s exterior styling won’t be a radical departure from the current model, although it is clear the new car will arrive with revised front and rear fascias. It also appears as though the 2012 model will feature an extended roofline, which should aid in backseat headroom.
Subaru failed to release any details on the 2012 Impreza’s drivetrain, but did state the compact will be capable of up to 36mpg on the highway. If that figure holds true, the 2012 Impreza will be the most fuel efficient all-wheel drive vehicle available in the United States.
It has been rumored that Subaru is readying a hybrid version of the next Impreza, but it remains unknown if that 36mpg rating belongs to the hybrid model.
