The power of its motor is 114 horsepower and it attains 199 pound-feet of peak torque. Audi A2 review suggests that it runs on an e-tron electric drive train technology. These batteries take around 4 hours to charge on a regular household power outlet but may require less time on powerful 400 volt charger. The headlights of Audi A2 car are truly nice being based on the novel and advanced LED technology that spawns a high-resolution, non-glaring high-beam light. The Advantages of Buying from a Car Dealership or Private Seller

The car buying process has never been a breeze. There are many factors that need to be considered such as certification, emission tests, warranties, and many more. One headache-causing decision you have to make is whether to buy from a dealership or a private seller. Always remember that buying a car, regardless if new or used, involves a huge amount of money. It should be bought with enough information and care.

The best advantage you can get from buying a private seller is that you can get a car almost half the price in dealerships. On the other hand, the biggest downer in private buying is that you are not always guaranteed that the car has a good history. You simply buy the car as you see it without knowing if it's in good condition or if it was stolen. The law states that a stolen vehicle must be returned to the original owner.

Audi A4 and A6 Check Torque Converter Problems- ZF5HP19FL and FLA Transmissions

2011 Audi A4 - Engine 3.0 TFSI Supercharged V6 Engine 333 hp 325 lb-ft of Torque

A little further along in your journey, you feel it again- this time it is accompanied by your check engine light illuminating. You feel a bit concerned, but the car isn't driving too badly, it just has this very occasional odd engine surge. Naturally, you decide to have it checked as soon as you get to where you are going. Here's what may be found...

As Audi's A4 and A6 models are starting to become a few years old, there are few problems that are being experienced with their transmissions. By far, the most common problem that is being seen at this point in time is an issue with the transmission's torque converter.

The problem typically starts with a check engine light coming on. While sometimes the actual drivability symptom is subtle, your vehicle's computer is able to detect it by comparing engine RPM with transmission input shaft RPM.

Audi UK Launches Frugal A1 TDI with increased fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions

The Ingolstadt firm’s engineers optimized the 1.6-liter turbo diesel’s fuel system and engine management software, and as a result, reduced CO2 output from 105g/km to 99g/km, and boosted its combined economy figure from 70.6mpg UK to 74.3mpg UK (equal to 3.8 lt/100 km and 61.9mpg US).
Performance remains unchanged with the 105HP diesel unit offering the A1 1.6 TDI with a five-speed manual gearbox a 0-62mph (100km/h) sprint time of 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 118mph (190km/h).
An updated version of the Audi A1 1.6 TDI with increased fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions has been introduced into the British market.

Standard features common to all three trim levels include alloy wheels, remote central locking, air conditioning, electric front windows and mirrors and a six-speaker single CD audio system with auxiliary iPod connection linked to a 6.5-inch retractable display. On-the-road prices for the A1 1.6 TDI SE, Sport and S line models also remain the same ranging from £14,480 to £17,865.

Q4 new audi SUV ready to compete with the Range Evoque

The SUV model will be based on the existing modular longitudinal architecture (MLB, which stands for “Modularen LangsBau”) of the Q5 that will also spawn the Cajun, Porsche’s compact-size SUV. Since they will share the same architecture, the Q4’s dimensions are expected to be similar to the Q5’s, with a length of 4,650 mm, a width of 1,880 mm and a wheelbase of 2,810 mm, though its different roofline, which will mimic a fastback, will be lower, at around 1,600 mm, it will sport a five-door bodystyle with a fastback design and smaller glass area, thus presenting a sportier alternative to the Q5, a strategy similar to the A4/A5 Sportback duo.
Audi will double the number of SUVs in its range, which currently includes the recently announced Q3 (pictured in the above sketch), plus the Q5 and Q7, with the addition of three new models by 2016, according to a company insider cited by Autocar magazine. The new models will be named Q2, Q4 and Q6, and according to the magazine’s source, will enable the Ingolstadt-based carmaker to cover every niche of the popular SUV segment.

The base model will most likely be powered by the familiar 2.0 litre TFSI engine with 211 PS, while there will also be two sport versions: a gasoline turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 with 333 PS and a diesel model featuring a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 TDI with 312 PS.

A hybrid version utilizing the Q5’s powertrain combining a 211 PS turbocharged 2.0-litre gasoline engine with a 35 PS electric motor may also be added to the Q4’s range at a later stage. The first addition to Audi’s SUV line-up is said to be the Q4, which will be a sportier version of the existing Q5 designed to compete against Range Rover’s Evoque and to a lesser degree, sister company Porsche’s upcoming Cajun. It is expected to launch sometime in 2014 or 2015.

New Audi Q3 SUV Begins Production in Spain

The smallest member of Audi’s Q series of SUVs and crossovers utilizes the VW Tiguan’s platform architecture. Currently, the Q3 is offered with three four-cylinder powerplants, a 2.0-liter turbo diesel with 177-horses, and a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine available in two outputs with 170HP and 211HP. A more fuel-efficient 2.0 TDI with 140HP as well as smaller displacement petrol engines are to be added to the range in the near future.

The first series production version of Audi’s new Q3 small SUV rolled off the assembly line today at the SEAT factory in Martorell, located in Spain’s Catalonia region. Built in 1993, the Martorell plant currently employs more than 10,000 workers. This is the first time that the Ingolstadt-based automaker makes use of the SEAT factory. To build the Q3, the VW Group invested around €330 million in infrastructure and upgrades to the production facilities. Audi said around 100,000 Q3s are slated to leave the three-shift assembly line each year.

Audi A6 Avant

Audi has a knack for designing stylish station wagons with clear lines and details that will delight the aesthetically cultured, and the latest A6 Avant is no exception to this rule. Inside, the estate model features the same materials and dashboard layout as the four-door version adding some bespoke options such as a load-through hatch, a fixing set and a power rear hatch. There’s also a new gesture-based control of the hatch with the convenience key. According to Audi’s own words: “If the driver stands behind the car and makes a specific movement with his or her foot, two sensors open the hatch”. Unfortunately, the Germans did not elaborate on what type of foot movement triggers the mechanism. The boot compartment of the new A6 Avant has a standard capacity of 565 liters (19.95 cu ft) which can grow to an enormous 1,680 liters (59.33 cu ft) with the rear seats folded down.

The new A6 Avant measures 4.93 meters (16.17 ft) in length, 1.87 meters (6.14 ft) in width, and 1.46 meters (4.79 ft) in height. Despite being slightly wider and with a 70mm longer wheelbase at 2.91 meters (9.55 ft), the use of new composite materials on the body and aluminum on the suspension and other parts of the car help reduce the weight over the previous model. Audi says the new A6 Avant is as much as 70 kilograms (154.32 lb) lighter than the car it replaces. The engine choices for the Avant mirror those of the A6 saloon and include two gasoline units, and four diesels. The gasoline range comprises of the 2.8-liter FSI V6 with 204HP and the 3.0-liter TFSI supercharged V6 producing 300-horsepower. The diesel lineup consists of a 2.0-liter TDI with 177HP and a 3.0-liter TDI V6 available in three states of tune delivering 204HP, 245HP and 313HP. The 2.0 TDI is the most fuel efficient returning a combined economy of 5.0lt/100km (47.04 US mpg) with CO2 emissions of 132 g/km (212.43 g/mile), while the twin-turbo 3.0 TDI V6 is the fastest completing the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in just 5.4 seconds.

In Europe, the new A6 Avant will begin arriving in showrooms in late summer with a base price of €40,850 (about US$58,200). The all-new 2012 Audi A6 Avant has just made its world premiere during a special happening in Berlin Germany, but not before we got our first taste of the estate model with a set of photos that we showed you earlier today. The latest addition to the new A6 range has grown in size offering improved interior space but without any penalties in weight or fuel efficiency thanks to a new composite construction of the body.

Audi A4

The Audi A4's new body shell is 10 percent lighter than the outgoing model, despite being much larger. Overall weight is up very slightly, but more efficient engines mean fuel economy is better across the board.

The final key area to address when attempting to compete with German luxury sedans is the drivetrain, something Audi decided to take a new and unique approach to for the latest model year. Gone are the multiple engine offerings, and in place of six and four-cylinder offerings is a single, 2.0-liter TFSI engine. This turbocharged four-cylinder engine is good for an impressive 211 horsepower from 4,300 to 6,000 rpm, and 258 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 to 4,200 rpm. Interestingly, despite having just one engine, there are three transmissions to choose from. The first is a six-speed manual transmission, good for a zero-to-60 jaunt of just 6.4 seconds, while returning 22 city, and 30 highway miles per gallon. This of course is mated to the sporty quattro all-wheel drive. Switching to the Tiptronic eight-speed transmission will lower fuel economy to 21 city, 29 highway, and add two-tenths to the zero-to-60 time. This model also features quattro all-wheel drive.

The final transmission option is the Multitronic CVT, which returns the best highway fuel economy of 31 mpg, with a city rating of 21, and the slowest acceleration time of the three at just 7.1 seconds. This is the only transmission to use FrontTrak front-wheel drive, not quattro all-wheel drive. The proportions have a new balance compared with the previous model: the front body overhang has been considerably reduced and the bonnet and wheelbase are now noticeably longer. A long, coupe-style roof line meets the side sections of the body at an almost invisible zero-gap joint. The car's wheelbase has grown to 110.6 inches, while interior space has increased by nearly an inch. Rear passenger knee room has grown 1.5 inches to a respectable 35.75 inches. Compare to the C-Class and 3-Series, the new A4's wheelbase is two inches greater.
