Review Lexus IS200 testimonials and Features, owner remarks

Lexus cars have usually been connected with dependability and soothe. The Japanese luxury automaker introduced the IS to vie in the sport car class and to vie for presentation accolades. Background as the foreword of the Lexus product in 1989, it has been recognized for produce relaxed, luxurious vehicles rather than sporty ones. The influx of the IS, which stands for "clever Sport," was hypothetical to be Lexus' business enterprise into the performance market, built with solid postponement and built-in with high-performance tires to vie with the likes of the BMW 3-Series, the Infiniti G and the Volvo S40

Major Features:
The IS 200 is sometimes referred by the Altezza surname since of the chromed automobile tail lights-Altezza lights-which it retained as of its Japanese example. An additional famous feature of the vehicle was its 3.0-liter 215-horsepower in-line six-cylinder engine, which was brought over as of its much-larger sibling, the Lexus GS. Balancing with a five-speed automotive program, the car might go as of nothing to 60 mph in the low-seven-second range.

Lexus IS 350 South African Debut

lexus is 350

The Lexus IS 350 will make its South African debut at this year's Johannesburg International Motor Show in October. The latest in an aggressively growing Lexus range, the IS 350 further builds on the brands growing performance range which already includes the IS-F and LFA.

Lexus' powerful sports saloon, the IS-F, revolutionised the brand when it was first introduced, creating a performance foundation for the marque to build on. Derived from the research and development conducted on the Fuji Speedway in Japan, it was the perfect proving ground to engineer the very best driving dynamics and sporting pedigree.

Based on the IS sedan, the IS-F was designed to be the ultimate sports saloon. The success of the IS-F paved the way for the introduction of the LFA. The bespoke supercar is a piece of engineering excellence, created for the love of the car as a showcase of Lexus technology and innovation. Purpose-built in limited numbers its performance credentials are exemplary with each V10 engine hand-assembled by a single enginee

Lexus CT200h

The Gazoo Racing CT features the Japanese automaker’s Lexus Hybrid Drive, but has a larger capacity 2.4-liter petrol engine instead of the factory 1.8-liter unit for better performance. At start-up and during braking, the car uses only the electric motor, consuming no fuel and therefore producing zero emissions. The internal combustion engine takes over at higher speeds, with the electric motor providing extra power under acceleration and at racing speeds. The race car shares with the road-going CT200h the batteries and hybrid system, with the latter selecting the most appropriate power sources and capturing energy through regenerative braking to charge the battery so that the electric motor never runs out of juice.

According to Lexus, the Gazoo Racing CT requires less fuel and emits less CO2 and NOx gases than any equivalent petrol or diesel race car it will compete with. The car will be entered in the SP4 Class and will be driven by three experienced pilots: Kumi Sato, Masahiko Kageyama and Minoru Takaki. The Lexus CT200h compact hybrid will debut in racing car guise at an endurance race this weekend at the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. Entered by Gazoo Racing, the same organization that races the Lexus LFA, the CT200h will compete in the Adenauer ADAC Rundstrecken-Trophy. Around 200 cars will line up at the start of the six hour-race

Lexus IS

What’s surprising – to me at least – is that the fairly innocuous Skoda Octavia is more likely to be vandalised than a BMW 5-Series. Less surprising is the fact that 4 of the Top 10 were Beamers; the brand still retaining its (deserved?) “blip-head” image in the UK. Another surprise is the Mazda MX-5, which I’m surprise to learn is more hated than the (IMO) highly obnoxious and scorn-worthy BMW X5.

Without further ado, here’s the top 10 most vandalised cars in Britain (at least, according to SwiftCover). The, “VV Index” is the percentage chance the vehicle would be vandalised in a one year period (2009 to 2010) multiplied by ten. Bad news for Lexus IS owners across the pond: if you happen to own one of the Japanese brand’s entry-level sedans, you’re in possession of the most vandalised car in the UK. Runners up are BMW’s Z4 sports coupe and MINI’s entry-level One model. It’s all been revealed as part of SwiftCover.com’s Vehicle Vandalism Index (VVI), whereby the UK-based insurer analysed some 2,000 motor insurance claims. SwiftCover claims director Robin Reames explains: “Our analysis shows that luxury cars are more likely to be targeted by vandals, however, it's interesting to see the MINI One in the top three. The majority of vehicles in the top ten are what we call 'executive cars', likely to be driven by high earners who see their car as a status symbol, with just one 4x4 making up the top ten.”
