Toyota Issued A New Variant Of The Toyota Avensis Family Car That is Comfortable To All State Roads

Style has never been the Toyota’s strong point, but the exterior has been refreshed with a sleeker grille and reshaped headlights that give the car a lower and wider appearance. Look closely at the rear and
you’ll see the tail-lights have been subtly tweaked, too. Inside, Toyota has also simplified the centre console, while a leather-trimmed steering wheel comes as standard and the dashboard is now finished in a better-quality soft-touch plastic.

Not only does it look and feel much classier than it did before, but the Tourer also drives better. Extra sound-deadening keeps wind, road and engine noise at bay, while tweaks to the suspension have ensured the ride remains as comfortable as ever. Improvements could still be made to the way the Avensis tackles smaller road imperfections, though; potholes aren’t soaked up as well as they should be.

In an effort to spice up the handling, Toyota has fitted a stiffer anti-roll bar, plus the steering is now quicker than before. On twisty roads the Tourer feels more agile than it used to. The problem is that all the controls – the steering in particular – are a bit lifeless. There’s quite a lot of grip and very little body roll, but simply no driver involvement.

The engine delivers the same 126bhp of power, so the 10-second 0-62mph time is unchanged. But the car is noticeably more refined; only when you explore the upper limits of the rev range does it sound harsh. The Avensis is most at home on motorways, where the engine settles down to a barely audible hum.

Nisssan Juke R Observers Doubt Answer Speed Car

Nissan has confirmed the performance statistics for Nissan Juke-R - the supercar crossover concept that combines the power and handling of the legendary GT-R with the bold design of Juke.

Created in the UK, Juke-R has been developed by Nissan and built by leading motorsports outfit RML with advice from Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTC-E). Over a 22-week period two models have been created - one right-hand drive and one left-hand drive - with extensive performance testing now completing the final stage of the development project.

Nissan Juke-R's 485bhp 3.8-litre V6 twin turbo engine propels the car from a standing start to 100kph in just 3.7 seconds, before continuing on to a top speed of 257kph.

Testing has proved that Nissan Juke-R enjoys supercar handling from a compact crossover, thanks to use of the Nissan GT-R's suspension and drivetrain as well as an FIA-specification roll cage and unique split rear wing. In a straight line, the GT-R's more aerodynamic shape ensures that its top speed is higher despite the same power plant being used in each. GT-R also remains lighter than Juke-R due to the roll cage and extra chassis reinforcement that has been required to place the supercar's components into a Juke body.

Nissan Juke-R's physical dimensions obviously resemble Juke more than GT-R. The car is the same length (4135mm), height (1575mm) and has the same wheelbase (2530mm) as Juke, while the width has increased from 1765mm to 1910mm, with flared wheel arches surrounding 20-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels.

Inside, the driver and passenger sit in OMP race seats, but with all the controls and instruments from GT-R at their fingertips. The 7-inch touch-screen display is in the centre of the dashboard, providing access to the wealth of information about the car to which any GT-R owner has become accustomed.

Porsche911 Carrera Has Revealed His Form on The Streets of U.K

We drove the Carrera S, which is powered by a 400bhp 3.8-litre flat-six, and there really is nothing to complain about. It’s smooth, has plenty of power through the rev-range and the acceleration from 30-60mph in second-gear is exhilarating.

Perhaps the most controversial part of the overhaul is a new electromechanical steering set-up. Some of the more subtle feedback from the steering wheel has been lost, but it’s still the best electrically assisted system we’ve used.

Porsche puts the 0-62mph time at 4.5 seconds for our manual-equipped model, but it feels far quicker than that. The new 911 is longer, wider, lower, lighter and more technically advanced than ever, and it promises better ride comfort and a sharper drive. It all made sense when we drove the car abroad, but now we’ve had our first go on the UK’s rough roads.

The pin-sharp handling of previous 911s is most definitely intact. Turn-in is more instant than it has been before, and the wider track has boosted grip. There’s an element of maturity about the way the 911 corners, too, with the sense it’s far more forgiving than some older versions.

The gearbox itself is special because it’s a seven-speed manual, and although most cars sold will be equipped with the PDK semi-auto, the manual is a treat to use. The shift is direct, and has just the right balance between being notchy and light. At one point early in our drive we found seventh when looking for fifth, but soon got used to the layout.

That seventh gear is useful for lowering emissions. Paired with fuel saving technology and a lightweight body, Porsche claims our manual model can return 29.7mpg, while PDK-equipped models are even more economical at 32.5mpg.

Prevent Damage To The Automatic Transmission

Ways to prevent damage to the automatic transmission on your favorite car.

• Check regularly for oil leaks. Does the engine, power steering or transmission. If a leak immediately bring to the workshop.
• Every now and then note the volume and transmission oil levels. Do not let your guard down attention to the volume of oil is reduced, because it can cause leaks. Not all types of transmissions are equipped. Like well as on some models of old cars, just a garage mechanic who knows.
• Replace new oil-tands so visible signs of oil began to warn a black or dirty. Keep in mind, not all fluids drained of oil when you change the new oil. Remaining approximately 40% in the torque converter. That means you replace only 60% of new oil only. Thus it is often to change the oil.
• Use a new oil sejenls appropriate advice from a manual transmission to avoid sensitivity to the type of oil used.
• Never move the lever to position P or R until the car stopped completely.
• Do not suddenly move the gear lever from position P when the machine is in high rotation.
• Always walk on the brake lever when moved to the position of P.
• fatal damage can occur if the automatic car used to pull another car. Conversely, if the automatic car will be withdrawn, should lift the bag ian wheel that moves (FWD or RWD).

Why Is The Radiator Fan Is Often Sudden Death If The Heat

Car radiator cooling fan today already rely on electric power. The fan is usually called electric fan was previously commonly used front-wheel drive car. But now the pull back of any car apply. Vigilant round electric fan blades weakened. Because these events can make a hot engine. Observe also the conditions through which the symptoms occur. What the hell?

Replace Motor
Various advantages gained with electric fan. As engine power is not used with a rotating fan blades. Fan attached directly behind the radiator and the use of electricity. The fan was working only on certain conditions, aka more efficient.

Round the fan blades can be weakened. "It could be measured by the number of revolutions per minute. If fan rotation is normally 1,500 rpm range, certainly under a weak round it. If observed, a gust of wind was not as firm as if still normal. Indeed, it must be admitted there are also symptoms of the fan died suddenly. Symptoms were clearly need immediate treatment. Well, for symptoms of fan rotation weakened, sometimes separated from the monitoring of the rider. Overview of the fan still works, even though its performance was below standard. Therefore, it needs further scrutiny.

What are the symptoms? To be sure, the engine temperature will rise. If plain about half a scale indicator, it could be higher. Other symptoms, the temperature rises if the AC is turned on. This is common in car air-conditioning condenser is in front of the radiator. "The heat will raise the temperature of the AC condenser radiator. If the fan is less tight, the temperature can rise.

Create a radiator that is placed alongside the left-or right, maybe not too affected AC. But the temperature can still rise. So what's the solution? Electric fan should be replanted. Baseball needs a total change. Can be replaced just because the bike course. Usually the bike even check it first. If only the carbon brush is problematic, can be directly addressed without having to replace the fan motor. Problems can also be derived from the coil. There are two kinds of motors, with a coil of wire coil, there is also shaped like a disc. "If the dish is definitely not rewound.

The coil is rewound hasilya remains maximal, if a thin carbon brush can still be replaced.
Yes, the motor armature coil model can indeed be rewound. But it must be admitted, the result can not be as good as factory-made. Besides lack of precision because the coils are rolled by hand, the quality of the cable was less qualified.

How To Overcome The Steering Wheel Vibrates When Walking

Comfortable steering wheel or steering does not vibrate properly when driving. When it started to feel uncomfortable, such as handling time berkemudi was shaking when running certain dikecepatan or applying the brakes when the pedal, there are some things that should be considered if such a thing happens.

Check condition of brake
When disc brakes are not flat or wavy, then when done braking then it will vibrate. Vibration that will be forwarded to the wheel and it will feel the vibrations up into the hands while driving. Therefore, you should perform the checks to the garage to make sure and check the condition of the disc.

In addition to the condition of the brake disc, bearing (ball bearing) front wheel wear can also cause vibration in the steering wheel / steering. However, this vibration is not only appear when the brakes alone. At high speeds and uneven road surface vibration can also be felt even usually accompanied by the thunderous sound of wheels. To overcome this problem, the solution is to immediately replace the component.

Spooring & Balancing
In the case of the steering wheel was shaking when braking, it is most likely the trigger factor on the brake system and not due to malfunction of balancing. But, of course spooring Balancing and may also increase the driving comfort of being able to avoid a vibrating steering wheel rotation produced a result of a car while walking and can improve the steering stability.

It is recommended to keep doing spooring and balancing every 10,000 km and continued with the examination of the braking system itself. Immediately replace the brake if it has run out and use the original brake so the quality is guaranteed. While treatment for ball bearing, it can be done by re-lubricated with grease (grease) every 20,000 miles.

Catalytic Converter is Very Useful But Can Lead To Fire On The Car

Catalytic Converters

Catalytic converters are behind the exhaust manifold or between the muffler and header, with the consideration that the catalytic converter heat up quickly when the engine is turned on. Additionally, the sensor can immediately work to inform the need for fuel-air mixture right into the Engine Control Machine (ECM).

Anticipate danger of Catalytic Converter
The new catalytic converter device works effectively when conditions are hot. However, if too hot, the components can not work with the maximum. In fact, the catalytic converter is too hot can trigger fires when the nearby there are materials that are flammable.
Catalytic converters have a very large function in reducing levels of harmful exhaust emissions that are removed from the car. This device is capable of transforming substances such as fuel combustion, hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and NOx to be more environmentally friendly substances. But that does not mean the use of catalytic converters, there is no prohibition, for it is necessary to know more about these environmentally friendly devices and also the danger posed by these devices.

The temperature of this component will be safeguarded through the gusts of wind that came due to a car that runs. That is why, if there is a catalytic converter exhaust channels, do not turn the engine for long periods at rest (idle). Therefore, follow the instructions in the book of the manual. There is listed the information that when the heat engine or turn the vehicle in a stationary state (idle) can not be longer than 20 minutes. Many people turn on or heat up the engine in idle position, the reason for the cooling device (AC) can remain lit. And for cars that have a catalytic converter, turning on the car can be run without a catalytic Converter trigger fires burned because of excessive heat gain. Although it works when the heat, the temperature on the catalytic converters are not allowed to exceed a predetermined threshold is about 400-500 degrees centigrade

Diesel Engine Repair, Step To Make Better

Image
Basically diesel engine maintenance to trap gasoline fueled cars are not much different, just pengecekannya are different, especially on oil filters, air filters and routine replacement of engine oil. And, importantly, do the tune-up every 50,000 miles.
As usual the other machines, diesel engines need to warm up when the new car is turned on. Because, in principle, the diesel engine was burning at the time terjadinnya warming. So this must be done to reach the temperature of the engine work. In addition, heating is also useful for a more perfect lubrication. When caring for the car, not just the body and interior need dibersikan. Machines also need to be easily detected seepage on the machine. If diligent in cleaning the car going to look sleek. Not only the exterior, the engine would be unsightly.
The reason black smoke, loud noise, and vibration from the diesel engine start technologies are still embedded in society that make the image of diesel left out. To reduce or eliminate such an opinion is necessary to repair the image of diesel to the public. More people who know that the diesel engine is noisy, dirty and dingy. Frankly not many people know that diesel engines save a lot of advantages. For example, in consuming fuel-efficient diesel.
Hence also, almost all commercial or commercial vehicles carrying diesel engines. The diesel engine is always ready to take the heavy fighting in the field because of high durability. Superiority at low speed torque is imbued with a very stable fit carrying heavy loads and extra work. And, because the fuel consumption solarnya relatively economical.Even though fuel economy, diesel engine actually save a lot of weaknesses, and have always difficult to overcome. Starting from the process of generating power by placing cra own fuel to explode due to high temperature and pressure, causing noise and vibration strong, performance-pasana fitting, black smoke and so on. All of that adds a complete list of reproach for diesel engines.
In recent years, along with technologies that rely more advanced, many car manufacturers to tamper with the machine is so fitting too shabby to be installed in non-commercial passenger vehicles. Slowly, the technology also managed to reduce noise and vibration. The smell of diesel was slowly starting to smell from the sedan. In fact, luxury sedans are now already started to carry the diesel engine.
Along with that, the producers did not stop to continue to make innovations. In fact, they kept trying to be thrifty and frugal impression of diesel does not dissipate simply because advanced technologies are enabling diesel engines to be more agile and speed on the highway.
steps to repair :
  1. Users take your car to run diesel engines prior to heating. Diesel engines must be heated at least five minutes.
  2. Not to run out of diesel fuel tank so as not to catch cold. When that happens then the user must pump diesel fuel injection pump because nature does not evaporate. Suggested when the tank contains 1 / 3 of capacity, should be immediately replenished. However, some new cars have diesel can avoid this problem, so no problem when the fuel tank empty until more than 1 / 3 capacity.
  3. Should be diligent in cleaning the air filter at least every 20 miles. Because dust is the enemy
  4. of the main diesel engine. Dust entering the engine room to accelerate wear and tear on the engine because the dust will be a material between the cylindrical grinder with piston rings.
  5. In addition to air filters, solar filters should also be considered clean. When damaged must be replaced immediately. Do not delay. Like the gutter must be free of trash so that no blockage.
  6. Another treatment is the replacement of lubricant oil (oil) every 5,000 miles and replace the filter, then the condition of the diesel engine will remain stable, sturdy and comfortable.
  7. Besides, every morning should remove water from the solar filter is recommended to clean the filter regularly SCARA diesel and replaced after traveling 16,000 miles.
  8. Injection pump repairs must be done in a special workshop diesel engines. And if there is severe damage to the injection pump, should immediately be brought to the workshop, not through careless mechanic.
  9. Finally, Baterey (Accu), cables. Although diesel engines can be turned on

How To Recognize And Cope With a Mysterious Sound Coming From The Engine

Mysterious voice coming from the engine will greatly disturb you, for that you should check first what is causing the noise arises. The following are some tips that you can make reference:

1. The sound of squeaking
when the car is first turned on, after a long period is not used, or when the engine speed increases. Most likely the sound coming from fan belt (fan belt) that slippage due to the tension is reduced. Try to set back and look at the field geseknya, if surface is smooth and shiny, it means that the fan belt has lost its grip on the pulley and fan belt should be replaced with new ones.

2. Knocking or rattling metallic
arising from the combustion process is not perfect. Generally the result of too low octane of the fuel used or the engine overheating. Symptoms of excessive ngelitik can cause damage to the piston, when the little voice that arise can be ignored. Even so you should ask your mechanic to check the machine so that the sound is lost.

3. The sound of heavy beats or like the sound of people banging iron
it could be a car engine suffered considerable damage. Maybe metal (rod bearing) or the handlebars broken piston. Do not force it to run a car, because it will get worse.

4. Hissing sound
could have occurred because one of the vacuum hose disconnected or leaking and is usually followed by delays spin machine. Enter a loose vacuum hose again and if leaking replace with new.

5. Squeaky voice
when a car brakes. Due to surface geseknya dirty. Try cleaning or replacing the brake that is designed to eliminate noise.

6.The sound of friction between the metal
when braking. Caused coating or surface friction brake is too thin or even disappear. This can result in much reduced braking capability, then immediately replace the brake of the car.

7. Hissing sound
when played on a car steering wheel equipped with power steering. As a result of the lack of oil or power steering pump power steering system damage. Generally followed by heavy rotation on the wheel. If less oil then add the power steering or visit the shop for repairs.

8. The sound of a knock
when the car is front wheel turning. Caused damage to the balls in the cv joint, because the rubber wrapping broken so "fat" or lubricating gel in it have been exhausted. Immediately repaired.

9. Knocking sound when shifting gears porsneling
Caused by damage to the system power successor, engorgement of cross-joint or axle damage to teeth.

Why you Need Engine Rebuild Kits?

IPD Aftermarket Parts CAT 3406 Rebuild Kit

If your car engine starts off with a pop, pop, bang, bang, and then great big clouds of smoke come belching out of the tailpipe as you pull away, then it may be a sign that you need an engine rebuild kit. For the laymen among you who are reading this, there are three colors of smoke that can come from your tail pipe if all is not well with your engine. Each color represents a different problem and two of these may well entail having a mechanic or you fitting an engine rebuild kit.

The three colors of smoke to look out for are black, blue and white and these are the faults that are connected with these colors. Black smoke will indicate that fuel is being passed from the piston chambers that has not been burnt by combustion, if this color is coming from the tail pipe then the good news is that it may not be an engine rebuild kit that is needed but the vehicle should be taken to a repair shop to look at the fuel system.

Types of Car Engines

Custom Street Racing Cars 1967 Chevy Camaro Engine
The engine is the most important part of a car. It is continually refined as automotive technology develops. Not all cars are powered by the same kind of engine. There are at least five general types of car engines: internal combustion engines, diesel engines, rotary engines, hybrid vehicle engines, and other alternative fuel engines.

Internal combustion engines use fuel, such as gasoline, which is ignited to produce power. Such type of engine basically creates a series of small explosions as the power is transferred to the driveshaft through the transmission. Intake, compression, ignition, and exhaust are four main procedures in most internal combustion engines.

Diesel engines are also internal combustion engines, but differ when it comes to fuel. A typical diesel engine uses diesel fuel rather than gasoline. Diesel fuel is produced by distilling petroleum, vegetable, or animal fats. Instead of a spark plug, diesel fuel is ignited in the engine by mixing it with hot air. This type of engine is more efficient and emits less carbon compared with gasoline engines.

Identifying Important Parts of a Car's Engine, Do it Right

Car Engine Uncovered

The engine functions similar to the body's central nervous system. It is responsible for generating energy that powers the vehicle. It consists of interlocking components operating through internal combustion. The fuel is deflagrated to produce pressure that pushes the components to work. Each part is vital for engine efficiency. It is useful for repairs and replacements to know the different parts of the engine and how they work. Engine pistons are cylindrical pieces of metal that pump fuel. Each piston is placed inside a cylindrical hole and attached to a rod, allowing it to move up and down. As the pistons move, they turn the crankshaft, a coiled device found beneath the cylinders.

At the bottom of the engine lies the cylinder block, which is a metal frame that holds major engine components together. Typically made of aluminum or iron, this is the largest part under the hood. Its shape varies depending on manufacturer design. The main functions of the cylinder block are to shell in the components and keep them from disintegrating as the engine runs.
